101 lessons : Don’t be afraid of Vinyl : April 28, 2011
Platoon Kunsthalle.

When i first started designing some signs, I shunned laser-cut vinyl signage as it seemed like a cheap, nasty solution. But from observation and experience, I have realised that it is a cheap, effective and quite streamlined approach. There is the risk of it being ripped, and in a place such as a school hallway it may not be appropriate. But many other methods risk being scratched and meddled with and are not so easy to replace. So, don’t dismiss vinyl straight away. This example at the Platoon Kunsthalle show that, if designed well, Vinyl can look super…and well, not like vinyl! More >>
